3d fun

 Home assistant (HA), is a wonderful system. It supports all the protocols and sensors i want to support. It just doesnt show the world the way I crave to see it.

Protocols, thats a language that sensors use to talk to a computer. My favorite is Zigbee followed by Zwave and all the rest. Right now, Hal talks Zigbee, In the world of industrial automation, Modbus TCP and others, I've supported for decades. 

So this is what I'm going to do. I'll be using home assistant to talk with all the protocols I dont support yet. Slowly, I'll replace it with my schematic system. That way, you'll be able to see its logic in an animated way along with the real world around you or remotely.

I'll be putting home assistant on a Raspberry Pi. On the development side,  I'll be using my laptop, which will be replaced with another Raspbeery Pi or a small computer I have.

In a way, I love doing this. I get to push the envelope that the normal world ignores. I get to play with game like 3d and how to present the world around me in an animated way. 

A movie is fantasy, Hal is real world fantasy. Its how to present the world around me in a way that explains it in an animated way. Doors spin and grow and color themselves when they open and close. Whatever my imagination dreams up, I can apply. In that sense, it holds a kind of fascination.. Then again, it makes life more secure and can give me a kind of xray into places I can't immediately see without Hal.

It also presents logic in a viewable way. Using schematics and Scada, i can see the thought process it takes to make decisions. Soon I'll be presenting viewable schematics. So the user or the installer can see what is wrong and I can have an AI explain it back to the them.

Does it get more fun? Is it about putting a price on how to view life? Or is it a game I like to play with my imagination. I want to throw as much beauty as the viewer can see in their hands. They can decide how much the 3d engine will present so that slow devices can see their world without stressing the device they're holding in their hands.

Textures, pictures placed on objects, can present doors that look like wood. I can choose how to get close to an object or look at the whole thing at once, from a distance.

3d is like a magic viewing xray that's animated. How does it get any better?

Anyway, it may take a few years but ill get there. Im starting my 4 day water fast. It cures some of my old age ills.

From home to internet and born again

 So many things have to happen when I connect an object on the internet house to the home computer. First, you select an object like a thermostat or a temperature sensor to be placed on a wall.  Then a note is sent from your internet 3d building to your home computer telling it that an object is created. Then the home computer finds the template chain of controls, that fits the name of the object, called a schematic, and copies it. In that schematic, it connects the first control in the chain, which is a parser control, to the zigbee sensor listener. The parser control is necessary because the sensor sends something like living room temperature:72, to the parser control, then  separates and throws away the name, which is ok because the zigbee sensor control already sends the name to the internet building sender control, which is tied to the last control in the chain. so big one today. talking to my 3d objects

 The communication between the building editor and it's animated objects have begun. I can mate my scada block control to animated objects now. So now begins the process of telling the local computer that controls everything in the home or business to create the blocks that talk to the sensors, manipulate the math or logic and then send it to the 3d front end.  The local program is the back end and the browser that can see 3d and control the home remotely runs in the browser.  Also, today, I've installed Gemma 4. Google's AI that can take over the creation and running of the 3d front end that runs in the browser. It's installed and now I have to install a speech listener and a text to speech system.
